Making my own Macarons is on my Recipe Bucket List. In the meantime, I'm always game to treat myself to a bakery made macarons. Alas, there aren't many bakeries in my hometown who makes them.
So, when the nice folks at the Sucré Sweet Boutique contacted me, and offered to let me try their Macarons, I didn't hesitate to say "yes, please"!
A few days later, a lovely box of Valentine's themed macarons arrived, from New Orleans!
Just as I had hoped, they were delicate, and lightly sweet. What a treat! My son had never tried a Macaron, so I let him eat one. Then he ate two... and reached for number three. I had to set my boundaries, that these were to share, though.
The enclosed card says these can be refrigerated for up to a week. Are you kidding? These were gone in two days, and I think my son ate the majority of them.

I would love to try their famous King Cake. Voted "A Favorite" By The Times Picayune 2012 King Cake Contest and 2011 "BEST" King Cake by a Washington Post blind taste test. Sucre's signature buttery danish pastry is sweetened by cinnamon and raw cane sugar then folded with a light layer of creole cream cheese. (Serves 8-10 people.)
